As the news is out Glenn was laid off after eight years with Enterprise Rent-A-Car. The first layoffs in the companies 51 years. Yes the car above does have subliminal messages. He could of stayed as any manager but as a family we prayed and felt it was time to move on and do a change.
It's official, Glenn went to his first company Christmas party today in Salt Lake, even though he starts his new job training January 12Th in Portland, he was able to meet everyone he will be working with. 40 employees instead of the 150 he is used to. The new six team members they hired all has previous media experience except for Glenn. After going to the party, we feel so great about this new opportunity. One of Glenn's new workers who is hiring along with him, who has 4 year old twins, has been doing media for 10 years and the last 4 years he has received zero benefits, no vehicle and cell phone reimbursements, and items Idearc offers, most media companies don't so that is great to be one of the largest companies and one you generally need prior media experience to get in.
Glenn is really excited and blessed to have such a great job this quickly from the Layoff from Enterprise and again when following church principles, praying, and doing what right will always put our family where we need to be.
Maddy has two weeks of school off and can't wait to play with the family. A well deserved break!
Enjoy your break, Maddy!
