So I finished my 4 weeks training last Thursday. It was supposed to last until last Friday when we were heading to the computer lab to finish the computer portion since everything is computerized even signing of documents, and out of 20 of use from all over, Seattle, Portland Arizona, Texas, Utah, and Denver they asked for the Utah team to stay and HR from Texas showed up and they handed the four of use Utahans with 4 packets and yes they closed the Utah office with 40 other employees and yes no Verizon yellow book next year in Utah. They changed our flights, and gave us severance packages .
Yes I have never met anyone with two severance packages at the same time in effect, yes they will both end in the middle of March, I bet three would be a Guinness World Record. OK NO MORE SEVERANCE PACKAGES EVER.
I have a few options, Last week while at training another company called me about the position I was working for last month. Also Idearc is still in the picture but I would have to move to one of the 55 open positions outside of Utah, they are trying to see what they can do to help me move.
So with that all said who knows what will happen to us in the next month, the only thing sure is that I need to get a job at the latest March. Portland was beautiful but I did miss the family too much. We have lot's of pictures and we will post them soon, hey I have a month off again so I can blog again. See ya soon.

Unbelievable! We are so sorry! Ryan is enjoying working for Orbit Medical. It's based out of Salt Lake. I have no idea if they are hiring, but people are going to have the need for medical equipment regardless of the economy... Good luck. What a bummer!
